The Education Council has been instrumental in the creation and presentation of the Classroom on Wheels, which traveled out west in the summers of 2004 and 2005.  With the 70th anniversary of the Virginia State Parks in 2006 and the 400th anniversary of Virginia in 2007, we decided to turn our focus a little closer to home with the  “Virginia Is For Students Tour” beginning in 2006.

The Education Council also holds programs for the educators, such as the C.R.E.A.T.E. Workshop (Cove Ridge Education Alliance for Teaching Experientially) and serving as a facility to host in-service programs for Lee, Scott and Wise County schools.
