The
C.R.E.A.T.E. (Cove Ridge Education Alliance
for Teaching Experientially) Workshops
are held with the purpose of introducing teachers to the programs that
Natural Tunnel staff have developed for presentation to their classes to help them achieve the
Standards of Learning goals set by the state.
The teachers also receive multi-disciplinary lesson plans they can
use to utilize the outdoors at their school to reach these same goals.The 6th Annual C.R.E.A.T.E. Workshop will be held Friday and Saturday, October 5th and 6th, 2007. Breakout sessions on Saturday will focus on curriculum specific programs. Previous sessions have included a historic bus trip through Scott County, Water Quality Testing, Art in the Park, canoe trips on the Clinch River, Wild Cave Tours, Historic Hayrides and Creative Writing.
